Those hospital beds!

On my way to surgery as the nurse and anesthesiologist were wheeling me along, I told them the story about Scott's toe. The Dr. was totally sympathetic. He had his foot run over by a bed with a patient in it. His foot got broken in several places and he was in a world of hurt for some time.

That's one of the last things I remember before coming to and ripping off my oxygen. (Who wants those tubes up their nose? Especially when the pain was overwhelming because I was so out of it I guess hadn't ever pushed the "pain medication release button." Why do they tell you to push that button when needed you are still so under the influence?)
